This lovely three piece Summer Moonlight Blossom set placed third at the 2011 Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. The set was designed and created by Teme silversmtih Jimmy Brown. The colors are most gorgeous and a must for any avid jewelry collector. The set is made in sterling silver and various semi-precious stones. All pieces are stamped JB & Sterling and are finished with an old style satin stained finish. The neklace pendant features a sun flower in full blossom. Jimmy Brown's technique in making the sun flower involved hand filing each flower petal and then stamping each and every piece; all of which would be cut out and soldered onto a back plate. The accents surrounding it are four cresent shaped bump out stamps overlayed on silver plate. There are four large star stamp bump outs and eight smaller stars in the eight directions. The beautiful bail also features a large star bump out stamp that is bordered in with half round edges. The pendant also features detailed stamp work around the artists' hall mark. The necklace is strung on two strands of mutli colored shell beads. The bracelet is by far the main focal point of the set. The bracelet features intricate stamp work on the inside. The beautiful stamp most resembles a row of butterlys. The top potrtion of the bracelet features one large sunflower with a high domed orange coral cabochon. While the two smaller sun flowers feature two smaller high domed Emerald Valley Turquoise cabochons. The main focal point has four 1/16 inch star stamps in the four cardinal directions. There are eight flower bump out stamps in between the large flower motifs. The bracelet cuff ends have four cresent shape bump out stamps and 8 shiner accents on each cuff end. The cuff ends features the most beautiful and eliberate stamp work which is synomous with Navajo jewelry. The earrings feature the same hand carved/filed flower motif with high domed orange coral cabpchons. There are two cresent shape bump out stamps as well as two shiners and one large star stamp bump out on each earring. In addition each earring has intricate stamp work on the reverse side. The earrings dangle on 22 gauge French ear wire.
